More than half a century has passed since the establishment of Nakayo as a telecommunications equipment manufacturer in 1944 (telephone systems, switching and data transmission equipments).

     In 1958 was awarded with Deming Application Prize for Small and Medium Enterprises being part of an elite that certifies the excelence in Nakayo’s manufacturing process.

     In 1971 delivered electronic switching equipment for the first time to NTT (Nippon Telegraph & Telephone Public Corporation) being the official supplier and keeping this relationship year in, year out.

     As a member of the Japan Quality Assurance Organization (JQA) approved the certification of high quality manufacturing process in accordance with ISO 9001. In 1998, approved by Japan Audit and Certification Organization for Environment and Quality (JACO) in accordance with ISO 14001.

     The JQA is EQNet member, European organization for the assurance and certification of quality in the production process.

     Aware of telecommunications equipments are more than an efficient tool for communication, NAKAYO dedicates, from its origin, an special effort in Research and Development (R&D), environtmental care and constant control of all sort of manufacturing processes.

     This permanet effort makes necessary the continuous investment in the most modern technologic equipments (Computer–Aided Testing systems CAT, three-dimensional graphic design equipment CAD/CAM, etc.) and we are rapidly appoaching our goal of fully automated production (93’7%) from the product development and design phases to final testing and inspection. 
     Thanks to the good relationship between the two companies it has been developed, in Japan, systems specially prepared for Europe, having passed the hardest quality controls of telephone companies (PTT’s) who use our products.
